Wonderful food and service.

The prices are really good here.

I love to go to this place to have my enchiladas and Fresh Tortillas, very inexpensive. The staff is very friendly and the food comes out fast and hot.

Tacos are good and people are friendly

This is my favorite restaurant in the whole city . I’ve been going there for 16 years . I’ve never had a bad experience . The people are great the food is delicious. I just love it .

The food is better than average, but the prices are very good for what you get and the restaurant is in a very quaint colorful old house. Be careful entering, as there are steps that are not equal heights. This IS one of our favorite places. As with other restaurants in downtown, it is not open in the evening.

Came in for deserts. They have lots of great sounding things on the menu. But no desert. So got a lemonade to go. My server bought it. Because of the credit card min. Now they have a steady customer who appreciated the good service. Her kindness will not go unpaid. Peace Chuck

We make point of having one meal here when we come to San Antonio.. I love everything I've had.. The enchilada and Chile rellenos are delicious!

Friendly service and great food

This place is just kind of middle of the road for me. The food was okay. The staff was okay. The prices were okay. It's just another diner that I don't think I'd be looking for this place to eat at, but again I won't avoid it at all costs either. It's just an average place. I read the reviews thinking it would be a great place to go to, but it just didn't meet my expectations. Just a middle of the pack diner, wish I could say more there's just nothing to tell about it.

Prices are very expensive and food is not good

Great place for good Mexican food,especially for downtown. It is closer to real Tex's mix then the commercial restaurants in Middle San Antonio. The locals go here and the prices are more then reasonable.

El Oasis is a family run Mexican cafe in the Alpha Hotel building on Main Street. I love this little hole in the wall because the food is good Texas Mex; hot and fresh. The service is quick a friendly. The atmosphere is simple and great for visiting. No loud annoying music!!!! Most of all I love this place because I am known there.

Good Mom & Pop cafe with extended menu of Tex-Mex & American cuisine at an affordable price located n downtown area. Good place for a quick meal-waitressing is customer friendly.

Food is okay, but the staff just aren't the brightest bulbs. I called in asking for an order of tacos, about 15 minutes out from the restaurant, and when I got there the same girl said "oh you're here" and put in my order. I asked her if she is BARELY telling them what I want and she said "yeah" and I raised my voice to explain to her that I'm in a SERIOUS hurry and the entire point of calling in an order is to PLACE THE ORDER then and there! She gave me a blank look like she didn't understand AT ALL and then laughed and said "oh okay I get it". I left without my order and never went back.

Taco de carne guisada with beans and cheeses... Can't go wrong

Amazing FOOD!!! This place is a slice of home. The staff take time to freshly prepare everything. The results are hot tortillas that melt in your mouth and retried beans that aren't overly greasy. Definitely will go back should my travels ever bring me back to San Antonio.

Good service nice people and good food

Service was friendly, however food was a little mediocre. Tortillas were very good, however migas was not a huge wow factor. Seems a good place for a quick bite if you're in the area, but maybe not a destination type restaurant.

Cute little place the service is excellent they make u feel welcome. And the food is authentic with nice flavors. I always enjoy myself while there.

I have been coming here for years.since 2004 actually. Sat at one of 2 different tables and have always gotten great service and great food. The place is a good clean operation and you should try it.

texmex at this place - yummy. Visited on a Wednesday I think. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I loved to visit.

I used to go across the street to another place. Then I started eating here. The price and the quality for being downtown is great. The other place gets slow when they get busy. Here the service is consistent and the staff is always friendly.

Third time there ..first time was ok but second and third time closed the deal! Cutting down on meat in your overpriced tacos is not a way to keep customers.
